Virginia Baker Act Information

Notice To All Pool Owners / Operators

Effective December 19, 2008, THE VIRGINIA GRAEME BAKER POOL AND SPAS SAFETY ACT, has mandated changes in Federal Law that require all public and semi-public pools installed after that date must be constructed to meet these new safety and anti-entrapment standards.

*All pools built prior to this must be brought up to the new standards to remain open.

To date it has not yet incorperated residential pools, existing or future, but it is expected to occur in the very near future.
